Bucek’s Plumbing Company opened for business November 7, 1980, with the owner’s goal of providing a better living for his family.  Jim found work in plumbing on Camp Lejeune and quickly took on weekend jobs as a technician with a local plumbing company.  He found he enjoyed this type of work and was good at it.

One man, one truck, a home office and endless hours of hard, challenging but satisfying work has grown into 19 employees, 17 vans & trucks, excavating equipment, work throughout eastern NC and a respected, thriving family business.  Jim holds a Class 1 NC Plumbing License.  His scope of knowledge and experience in plumbing is unsurpassed.  He’s done it all; he’s a Jack of all trades!

His wife, Denise, joined the office staff after her retirement from teaching, and his son, Geoff, who apprenticed during summer vacations as a kid, joined the business full-time in 2011.  Geoff holds a Class 1 NC Plumbing License as well.  He is involved in every aspect of the business.  As a hands-on company operations’ manager, he’s another Bucek who dons many hats.  The Bucek grandchildren are presently testing the plumbing business waters during summer vacations.
